Stored energy systems company EnerSys has announced its selection of Greenville, South Carolina, for a new lithium-ion cell gigafactory to strengthen domestic battery production. The 500,000-square-foot facility will manufacture several form factors of li-ion cells and potentially create 500 new jobs.
