Our Projects
Fuelling Collaboration Across the Supply Chain
We provide our members with a collaboration space through monthly networking meetings where leading researchers, companies in the supply chain and others join to discuss industry developments and constraints.
These meetings include local and international invited speakers who are shaping the sector and have included, Jens Noack of Fraunhofer Institute, former CATL CTO Bob Galyen, ARENA, and others.
Examples of business relationships arising from this network are numerous, accelerating business development, commercialisation and allowing companies to position for future sector growth.
Informing Policy
We guide policymakers as they implement the legislation and funding initiatives that will shape the future of the industry.
Following the successful launch of State and Federal Battery Strategies that research, commercialisation and scale up across the battery supply chain, we are developing the next stage of policy recommendations in consultation with our members and the wider sector, including incentivising locally made long duration grid storage and local content in our household and grid storage market and other initiatives.
We are contributing to the development of Australian and International standards that will ensure safety and industry needs combine to create the best possible outcomes for local businesses.
State of the Sector Report
We are delivering a State of the Sector Report 2024 that will promote the sector locally and internationally.
The report will make policy recommendations based information gathered on skills and training needs, local content opportunities and other policy settings.
We also seek to draw on the experiences of our members, and incorporate them as case studies where applicable.
Battery Day, 2024
We develop and host the annual Australia Battery Day (ABD). This unique event brings together battery-tech industry proponents, researchers and policy makers to discuss matters of strategic importance for the industry, network and build collaboration.
This year the event will take place on November 21st at the University of Queensland. Check our Social Media for updates.
